Throughout the winter months Junnguk, a 45 year-old man from Ilulissat in the Northwestern part of Greenland and his fellows travel by dog sledge to the ice fiord where they spend days in each other’s company catching halibut and hunting seals, as it has been done in generations. The film is a story about friendship, tradition and modernity as found in contemporary Greenland and most important of all: choosing one’s way of living.
