The documentary film Excision examines the consequences of FGM (female genital mutilation) through portraits of women of the Pokot tribe in Kenya and demonstrates the effects of this practice on millions of girls and women worldwide. The film aims to raise the voice of the FGM victims, who are not given the chance to speak openly about their pain.
