‘’The Last Lapdance’’ documents the social and political fallout when the Israeli police closed the country’s strip clubs in 2020. The film is told almost exclusively from the lapdancers’ point of view.
Veteran Tel Avivian filmmaker Isri Halpern, presents the struggle to close the strip clubs in Tel Aviv, from the point of view of the strippers and documents the first public struggle of sex workers in Israel. The ‘strippers protest’ is a colorful and thought-provoking and exciting human protest. The film reveals to the audience a different and unfamiliar view of sex facts in Israel and of the organizations that struggle with them.
